Should physicians be allowed to let residents and students perform exams and surgeries on patients without the patients informed consent? Is it ok for a physician to mislead patients, fail to tell them verbally that a students will be participating? This is going on everywhere. Even is hospitals that deny they are teaching hospitals. Doctors claim that if they did not decieve patients they would never be able to train new doctors. Research shows that patients are very generous and informed consent would not interfear with education as over 80% of folks consent when asked. What do you think?
